In Cadaval, an agricultural village north of Lisbon, a discreet house has been redesigned based on a project that explores the spatial possibilities of small, run-down agricultural spaces, while maintaining the traditional construction method on the main walls. The reception courtyard, with an olive tree, links the street and connects two built areas: the house and the studio. The studio is a former corral with a yellow outdoor patio bathroom, in which the interior spaces merge with the exterior.
The house connects with the old cellar, which has been transformed into a third courtyard, the pink one, acting as a refuge on hot summer afternoons.
